Easter Ostrich Egg Painting

Paint an Ostrich Egg this Easter at the Zoo!

Stop by the Discovery Centre to paint an egg-straordinary ostrich egg, then explore the zoo while it dries. Take home your painted egg in a box with a stand for display.

Limit: Max 4 participants per egg. No refunds. General admission not included.


Access Day
Price: $10.00
The Greater Vancouver Zoo is excited to offer Access Day 2025. We have expanded our event to 2 days this year, reduced sensory experience on Wednesday May 14th and regular experience Thursday May 15th. Access Day is specifically designed to be accessible for all individuals. Gates open at 9:00 AM and activities will run from 10:00am - 2:00pm. 
 
Admission is $10 per participant. For your convenience, tickets are available online via our website. To reduce wait times, tickets will not be available onsite. One personal care attendant is free per individual (Please note Access 2 cards are not required at this time but will be required when visiting again in the future.) 

Special entrance available from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Busses park free and staff will be on site to help direct them. 

 
Activities can be found at our Pavilion Picnic Area from 10:00am - 2:00pm and keep an eye out for additional fun around the Zoo.  

In respect to those attending Access Day the Greater Vancouver Zoo will adjust operations over the two days to reduce sensory concerns.  
 
Wednesday May 14th - reduced sensory operations 
The Safari Express Train will not be operating until after 2:00.  
Mesozoic Adventure will be muted from 9-11am, and all dinosaur roars will be quieter for the rest of the day.  
The Discovery Centre, located next to Oasis Kitchen, will act as a “quiet space”. 
 
Thursday May 15th
